Hupac Group has announced that CEO Michail Stahlhut will step down from his role in May 2026 after eight years in charge. The company has started the process of selecting his successor.

Hupac Group has confirmed that its CEO, Michail Stahlhut, will leave the company in May 2026 at his own request, ending an eight-year term at the head of the intermodal operator. The Board of Directors said the search for a successor is already under way and will be announced at a later date.

Stahlhut led the company through a period marked by major disruptions in the logistics and combined transport sector, including the Covid-19 pandemic, energy supply shortages, large-scale rail network closures and geopolitical instability. During this period, Hupac maintained operational continuity and financial stability, according to the company.

Hans-Jörg Bertschi, Chairman of Hupac’s Board of Directors, said the company strengthened its position in European combined transport under Stahlhut’s leadership through strategic initiatives and long-term positioning. Stahlhut said his focus had been on building a management structure capable of handling crises with a high level of operational responsibility.

Hupac has not yet named a successor and said the Board will communicate further once the selection process is completed.
