Talgo’s Board of Directors has appointed Ricardo Chocarro Melgosa as CEO, effective July 14, 2026. Chocarro has been a member of Talgo’s board since February 2026, following changes in the company’s ownership structure and the entry of new shareholders from the Basque consortium led by José Antonio Jainaga.
Chocarro is an industrial engineer with almost 30 years of experience in high-tech industrial sectors, mainly aeronautics and renewable energy. In 2017, he was appointed CEO of the onshore business of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
He joined Aernnova Aerospace in 2019 as chief operating officer, with responsibility for finance and control planning, M&A and diversification activities. He became CEO of Aernnova in 2020 and held the position until December 2025.
