Dinazzano Po, Interporto Bologna, Rail Traction Company and Sapir have signed a three-year agreement to establish the “Emilia-Romagna Logistics Operators Network,” aimed at strengthening rail freight transport in the region. The partnership may be expanded to additional members.
The initiative aligns with the development of the region’s Simplified Logistics Zone and the recently approved regional logistics system law.
The agreement focuses on increasing the share of goods transported by rail, improving service quality and supporting integration across logistics hubs. Emilia-Romagna is crossed by three TEN-T corridors, which are expected to channel European funding into transport infrastructure and logistics projects.
Dinazzano Po, based in Reggio Emilia, operates rail freight services to and from Emilia-Romagna. Interporto Bologna manages the region’s main logistics hub, while Sapir oversees the port of Ravenna and provides integrated logistics services. Rail Traction, headquartered in Bolzano, operates international rail freight services.
